Celebrating friendships day with &TV artists

Celebrating friendships day with &TV artists As friendships day is around the corner, let’s ask our favourite &TV artists on what significance does the day hold to them. Shaan who is seen as a coach in &TV’s The Voice India Kids I truly believe that friends are one’s extended family. I have a lot of friends who make my life beautiful with their presence and bring a smile on my face when I am distraught. I have a lot of friends from the industry so naming only one would be unfair. I would like to wish all my fans a Happy Friendships day. Shekhar Ravjiani who is seen as a coach in &TV’s The Voice India Kids It’s very unfair that there is only one day to celebrate friendships day. There are a lot of people who come and go in our lives, but a true friend stays with us forever. I don’t have a single best friend from the industry and all friends are best friends. I celebrate friendships day with my instruments in my studio and I celebrate friendships day with them. My favorite song on friendship is Yeh dosti hum nahi chodenge Neeti Mohan who is seen as a coach in &TV’s The Voice India Kids Every day is a friendships day for my good friends. I have a lot of friends who have guided me, given me honest feedback and stood through thick and thin. My best friend from the industry is Harshdeep Kaur. I have been with her through the phase of being a bachelorette to a married woman. I had the best time with her when I went for her wedding in Delhi for four days. I had organized her sangeet party. We sang, danced and had a lot of fun. Before we used to hang out together, now that she is married I go out with her and her husband. As she lives close to my home, I walk to her home and we have ice creams at night or have a chai party. I love pampering my friends so sometimes I send flowers or gifts. Shefali Sharma a.k.a Vijaya from &TV’s Tere Bin According to me friendship means a beautiful bond between people that not defined by expectations. Friendship is the most important thing in life to me right now. It makes life so much more meaningful and more enjoyable. My best friend from the industry is Adwik Mahajan who played my husband in my earlier show Bani-Ishq da Kalma. This friendships day I would be shooting for my show “Tere Bin” so I will miss meeting my friends. I hope I pack up early and catch up with them. Khushboo Tawde a.k.a Dr. Nandini from Tere Bin I believe that having a true friend is a blessing. They know how crazy you are but still choose to be with you always. My best friend from the industry is Gauri Nalawade, who acts in Marathi serials Akshay Dogra a.k.a Jagan from Waaris A day for friendship?? That's it? Being in mumbai, away from family, your friends become your family. I've been lucky to have so many people in my life, whom I can call 'my best friends'. Although, Barun Sobti is on the top of my list, but Sanaya Irani, Mohit Sehgal, Daljiet Kaur, Abhaas Mehta (honestly, it goes on) are definitely in there as well. Personally I wouldn't want to choose between them. I'm greedy like that. Interestingly, my character Jagan is seen fighting with Aarti Singh in my show “Waaris” whereas in real we get along very well and are good friends. Aarti Singh a.k.a Amba Waaris Friends are the most important part of life. My friends are like my family. And touch wood my all friends are very good human beings. I believe If you are surrounded by good people you tend to make less mistakes. My best friend is Mahhi Vij from the industry and I have a childhood friend Sneha from Lucknow who is also one of my very close friends. Because we spend so much time on set your co-stars become your friends ultimately. So, my good friend from my show “Waaris” would be Akshay Dogra. Shubangi Atre a.k.a Angoori bhabi from “Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai” I can say that I am blessed to have a lot of friends in my life who have guided me, helped me become the person that I am today. Even in my show “Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai”, I am surrounded with great people like Aashif ji, Saumya and Rohit ji who have become good friends with me over time and I can call them even at 2 am in the night. I always would wish great things for them as they would for me. Saumya Tandon a.k.a Anita bhabi from “Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai” I made my best friend my life partner and I hope this friendship of ours will survive all ups and downs in our relationship. I value Friendship a lot. In any relationship if you are friends the relation lasts longer is happier and healthier be it with your partner, mother, father or sister. Ratan Rajpoot a.k.a Santoshi in from “Santoshi Maa” Back in school we used to celebrate friendship day by tying friendship bands. The multi colored band and the best one used to be reserved for my best friend. Nowadays I don't get time to go and actually meet them but I believe it's a day to remember the friends who have helped you when you needed them and love you just the way you are. I take time to understand people, but now I can comfortably say that my co-star from my show “Santoshi Maa” Ayaz Ahmed is a good friend of mine. Vishal Vashishth a.k.a Sagar from “Gangaa” I have friends who have been with me since the past 15-16 years and back in school we used to celebrate friendships day in a big way. We all used to assemble in one friend’s house like a ritual, one by one tie friendship band, it used to be really funny. Family is always there was us but friends are those who really stand by you and my friends are like my family. They have always supported me till date and never fail to understand me and I believe they are the best gift one can get. I don’t have one best friend in the industry but Aneri Vajani, Hiba Nawab are my good friends with whom I did my first show on TV. Because I am shooting continuously, over time, Aditi Sharma from my show “Gangaa” has become a good friend.

I am playing a cheap and badtameez character in Waaris says AngadHasija

I am playing a cheap and badtameez character in Waaris says AngadHasija Angad Hasija who had a rather small stint on Saubhaghyalakshmi is gearing up for an interesting role on television yet again. If you have loathed the character Milind Gunaji played in the movie Devdas, then Angad’s character Chander in Waaris will evoke the similar emotions! Sources have confirmed that the actor has been roped in to play a negative character Chander in Waaris opposite FarhinaParvez who essays the character of Simran. While Aarti Singh aka Amba who is seen as mother of 3 children will be dealing with Angad Hasija aka Chander as her prospective son-in-law. Turns out Aarti and Angad are the same age and are seen making fun of their on-screen relationship off camera! On his character, Angad shared, “When the show was offered to me I was extremely happy as I have done two shows previously on &TV. The character of Chander that I am playing is very different from the earlier ones. Also, my mom is a regular viewer of Waaris. The character I play is drastically different from how I am in real life. The shade of character is negative, but to top it all he is cheap and badtameez too. I had to do a lot of preparations for this character to learn the body language, pick up the slang of Chander. It was difficult but as an actor, the character helps me to show my prowess.” Don't forget to watch the entry of versatile actor Angad Hasija in Waaris, Mon-Fri, 10:00 pm only on &TV

Samiya Mumtaz: “I act to support my organic farms”

Samiya Mumtaz: “I act to support my organic farms” Mumbai, August 2016: Nowadays, farming is most sought after for the rich and the famous. Even well-known Bollywood actors like Ajay Devgn, Kangana Ranaut & R Madhavan have taken up organic farming. Joining this list is an actor known for her performances in TV shows, Samiya Mumtaz. Currently seen wooing audiences as ‘Sabiha’ in ‘Maaye Ni’ on Zindagi, she is also an organic farmer. In fact, she says that organic farming is her first love. She believes that it is the only way you can eat food in its purest form. Samiya has done a lot of research on organic farming and tries to learn and apply traditional and modern ways of farming while growing her produce. “Many western countries like US & UK have started organic farming. But, I feel the way they are doing it is not proper as they focus on farming the same grains again and again on the same field which reduces the quality of the soil of the land. Instead, I believe everyone should start organic farming on a small scale which will be enough for themselves and they can sell the extra grains to cities. In fact, I have a shop in Lahore where we sell all organic grains not only from my farm but also by people who are doing this on a small scale and don’t have a place to sell,” says the actress, while talking about the importance of organic farming. When asked about how she manages her acting career and her organic farming she replies, “My farm is my priority. I act so that I can support my farm. Of course I do love my job as an actor as well. I love theatre and would anytime prefer theatre over TV.” Fans of this talented daughter of the soil can catch her in ‘Maaye Ni’ on Zindagi in the role of a mother who is struggling for her son’s love. ‘Maaye Ni’ revolves around Sabiha (Samiya Mumtaz) and her son Uzaifa (Fahad Mustafa) a touching drama of a difficult relationship between a mother and her son. The drama also focuses on the struggles a woman faces as a mother, wife, mother-in-law, sister and a daughter. The show airs every Monday to Saturday at 9.50 PM on Zindagi.
