Stress Management Workshops by famous Life Guru Pankaj Kothari INDORE 29TH JULY 2016. “Stress is one of the main reasons for low productivity, social breakdown and ill health. This is something which one must manage for the sake of one’s personal and professional life” This was shared by noted Life Guru Pankaj Kothari. Pankaj conducts Nity Anand - a stress management training intervention for corporate and other institutions. As a workshop bonus, participants receive self-assessment test on their psychological well-being, which gives them an insight into their well-being level both and pre and post training. Pankaj Kothari informed that several studies have shown that stress management training can produce significant improvements in measures of subjective well-being and physical symptoms (Backman, Arnetz, Levin, & Lublin, 1997; Cecil & Forman, 1990; Charlesworth, Williams, & Baer, 1984; Friedman, Lehrer, & Stevens, 1983; Tsai & Crockett, 1993). A few studies also have shown that stress management training can have a positive impact on objective physiological measures such as electromyograph (Murphy & Sorenson, 1988), adrenaline levels (McNulty, Jefferys, Singer, & Singer, 1984), and blood pressure (Charlesworth et al., 1984). In one study, a program for hypertensive employees in a large corporation led to a sharp cut in health care claims: the average value of claims for the year following the program were half the annual averages for the previous 2-1/2 years (Charlesworth et al., 1984). In another study, a program for highway maintenance workers led to a significant improvement in attendance records (Murphy & Sorenson, 1988). Pankaj Kothari shared that his training intervention focuses on well-established stress management skills such as relaxation, breathing exercises, meditation, yoga and guided imagery. The goal of this training is to promote and strengthen the individual’s potential to understand and experience work situations and life events in a way that compels one to act constructively rather than adopt a more non-assertive, blaming perspective. The participants will have the opportunity to choose the stress management techniques they want to learn. Pankaj Kothari added that each participant will have to sign an agreement that they would share the knowledge that they obtained from the workshops with at least one person in their lives. This will help them in reaffirming while telling others and in getting reminders from others in future. According to Mr. Kothari, a 36-item Well Being Scale is given to the participants to be filled out at the onset of training and again after a month from training, providing the participants with an opportunity to see what changes took place due to the program. Pankaj Kothari is professional psychologists and behavioral skills trainer who had 30+ years of experience. These programs are open to all of the employees at all levels. Pankaj Kothari relates to the wide variety of groups that work in the company, technical team to top executives. Pankaj focuses closely on the reactions and feelings of the participants. Everything has taken a back seat as of now. I take each day as it comes,” says Akhtar, who is judging a comedy show Mazaak Mazaak Mein along with cricketer Harbhajan Singh. Punjab Steelers finished the first quarter leading 30-17 and establishing early control over the game. Haryana Gold maintain unbeaten record, slam Chennai 18th July - Balewadi Stadium, Pune: Haryana Gold maintained their unbeaten record defeating Chennai Slam in a high scoring UBA Pro Basketball League season-3 game at the Balewadi Stadium in Pune today. In a game where both teams crossed the 100-point mark, Haryana were the better side with the score-line reading 109-100 in their favour. In a battle between two of the fastest team’s in the league, Prakash Mishra made the difference for the winners with a tally of 34 points that earned him the player of the match award. It was a treat for spectators too, as three of the four teams involved scored 100 or more points on Monday with the Pune Peshwas beating the Mumbai Challengers earlier today. Haryana Gold began well with Jaskaran opening their account early on. The boys from the North didn’t run away with a big lead though, but managed to keep their nose just ahead in the first half. Prakash Mishra was in top form throughout the first quarter, scoring three-pointers thrice. Chennai Slam responded through Kenyan Agu Chuwunanu, who scored three-pointers thrice, including a rare four-point play when he was fouled by seasoned Australian player Eban Hyams. Haryana ended the first quarter 31-28, and were able to maintain that three-point lead going into half time. Akashdeep Hazra, the tallest player in the UBA at 6 foot 11” made his presence felt in the second quarter. Chennai once more responded with Agu making powerful and fast runs through the Haryana defense. He was well supported by Ram Kumar and Jairam, as the Chennai Slam limited Haryana’s lead to 51-54 at half-time. Chennai came back strong in the third quarter, with Ram Kumar and Gopal increasing the pace. With Agu in top gear, Chennai Slam took the lead momentarily, but Haryana struck gold with Jaskaran and Himanshu Sharma dominating the score board. Prakash Mishra came up with another perfectly delivered three-pointer, helping Haryana Gold to a 76-69 lead before leading into the final quarter. Haryana continued that momentum in the last quarter, with Mishra taking his game tally past 30 points, and Hyams coming up with some important field goals. With under seven minutes of play left, Haryana opened up a 12-point lead, putting Chennai on the back-foot. Soon Haryana increased the lead to 16 points, and there seemed to be no way back for the Chennai Slam. Pro Basketball League: Bigger and better in its 3rd season League hosts, Balewadi basketball court, first in the country to get state-of-the-art international floor Pune, July 14, 2016: After an exciting second season, the Pro Basketball League is all set to thrill fans across the country once again. Season three will feature an international standard stadium that has been revamped with an international level floor, the first of its kind in the country, along with Spalding goals. After a point, the pain got unbearable and I immediately flew down to Mumbai because I needed the comfort of being home. I was hospitalized and couldn’t shoot for two days. And since the scenes required me to be part of them completely, the production house did not shoot for two days and were extremely co-operative about my health too.” The actor is now taking it easy and will soon be back in action. Ishani’sscary encounter inFilmcity Debutant Ishani Sharma who is seen playing Anokhi on STAR Plus’ show HumkoTumse Ho Gaya Hai Pyaar Kya Karein received the shock of her life while shooting late night in Filmcity. New to the city, Ishani has heard the rumours about Filmcity’s vastness and the spotting of leopards. Dismissing these as mere speculation, Ishani went for a walk while she was shooting at night. Although she was close to the set, Ishani saw the shadow of an animal behind her and screamed her lungs out. Talking about her encounter, Ishani says, “I feel like laughing whenever I think about that night. It was a scary yet a funny incident which happened with me. A cat was walking behind me and I mistook it to be a leopard. When I came here for the first time, people had told me about the strange happenings in Filmcity which is all I was thinking about. Now whenever I remember that night I laugh till my stomach hurts.” Filmcity can be daunting at night and Ishani agrees with this. “Filmcity is massive. I only know the road which leads to HumkoTumse’s set and I wonder how no one gets lost here! I like to believe I’m fearless but when I saw that shadow I became pale. Thankfully, it was only a cat and a few people from production were also around to calm me down” added the actress. On the occasion of Navratri and Pukha Nakshatra (1 to 10 October), on the banks of Betwa River of Raja Ram’s earth: held in a natural environment in Orchha the event of Sant Samagam is being planed to involve everyday activities like seminars, Kanya Puja (Girl worship), knowledge of yoga, Rama Katha, Bhandara (Offered twice a day): showcase of religious movies, local bazaars, local talents of Madhya Pradesh, as well as several other cultural activities. Sagar Khurana is that kind of a person who extracts hidden talents within girls and gives them a new shape and a personality. His aim was to transform Laajo into a modern girl and Laajo would do anything to become Trishna. The girl who used to wear a saree now wears modern clothes. The girl who didn't know English is now learning English. How will the girl who only knows a little classical dancing learn how to dance on hip hop music? Many people made fun of her during dance class but she paid no attention to them and after a point, it was the same people that were applauding her for her dance. Laajo is an example for all those girls who pass judgments on people based on their appearance and form an image of them, making them to be of no use. In this journey the most difficult thing is that, despite living in the same city, she is unable to meet her husband. She is unable to talk about her journey towards success on every step. Laajo does everything needed that would give her the respect from Nikhil's family because she wants to feel accepted by them completely. LafargeHolcim enters into agreement with Nirma Limited for divestment of Lafarge India LafargeHolcim announces it has entered into a letter agreement with Nirma Limited subject to approval by the Competition Commission of India (CCI) for the divestment of its interest in Lafarge India for an enterprise value of approximately USD 1.4 billion. Lafarge India operates three cement plants and two grinding stations with a total capacity of around 11 million tonnes per annum. The company also markets aggregates and is one of India’s leading ready-mix concrete manufacturers. The proceeds from the divestment will be used to reduce debt further. Eric Olsen, CEO, said: “This agreement is an important step in our CHF 3.5 billion divestment program. With this deal, two thirds of the program has been secured and the remainder of the program is well on track. We are confident that we will meet our target by the end of this year. With the proposed buyer we have found the right partner who will be able to develop the business further in the interest of all our stakeholders.” LafargeHolcim will continue to operate in India through its subsidiaries ACC Ltd. and Ambuja Cements Ltd. with a combined cement capacity of more than 60 million tonnes and a distribution network that extends across the entire country. The transaction with Nirma Limited as a purchaser will be submitted to the CCI for approval. LafargeHolcim has a divestment target of CHF 3.5 billion in 2016 and has already completed the sale of its business in South Korea and signed an agreement to divest its minority shareholding in Saudi Arabia.
