The makers of Shorgul, 24FPS Films Production have released the first motion poster of the movie. This is a hard hitting poster that shows a background filling up with actual newspaper articles that were published in the recent past.
The film is set in the background of Uttar Pradesh and stars Jimmy Shergill, Hiten Tejwani, Eijaz Khan, Ashutosh Rana and Sanjay Suri in the lead.
The film has received a clearance from the censor board inspite of the film touching upon sensitive issues such as Muzzafanagar, Godhra and Babri Masjid riots. The film will bring to life real time political scams of controversial hi profile dignitaries that rocked the nation. A lot of research has gone into making of the film with real evidence being utilized within the film to unveil the truth and urge the public to be foot soldiers of change.
Jimmy Shergill will essay the role of Sangeet Soam while Sanjay Suri will play Akhilesh Yadav and Narendra Jha will characterize Aazam Khan. Interestingly the characters in the film also have the same on-screen names with a slight alteration for instance - Ranjit Soam, Mithilesh Yadav, Aalim Khan.
The first motion poster is out today and the trailer will be out on 26th May .
