Krayon unveils ‘Spot the Fake’

A digital literacy workshop supported by Coca-Cola India In today’s world, digital platforms have become the hub of content and information consumption. This simplicity has proved to be a boon, but there should also be a sense of responsibility in the correct use and consumption of information. In view of this challenge, Krayon-LXL Ideas has launched ‘Spot the Fake’, a workshop on digital literacy, in which Coca-Cola India has also collaborated. The Digital Literacy Training Workshop ‘Spot the Fake’ will be conducted for teachers and parents in schools from September to November to explain to them the use of digital platforms as information sharing platforms. This initiative is to convey the importance of checking the credibility of shared information to all our valued consumers, including those who learn from their teachers and parents. Mr. Syed Sultan Ahmed, Managing Director and Chief Learner, Crayon-LXL Ideas, said, “Through social media and digital media, we get a lot of information. Distinguishing information and identifying fake and correct information is an essential skill that should be in our children. Our education system should move beyond the assessment of students in examinations. Giving them skill of analysis and difference of information is the demand of modern era. “ Commenting on the initiative, Ishtiaq Amjad, Vice President of Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability in Coca-Cola India and South West Asia said, “The digital world is growing rapidly and the reliability of content is difficult to test due to the huge amount of information. That is why we are supporting Crayon in a digital literacy workshop for teachers. Through this initiative we want to convey the importance of checking the credibility of the information available to our consumers in today’s era. ” This excellent digital workshop will highlight the impact of information coming to us through various real-life examples, which we often share without testing its credibility.
